Algebra Hints + MCQs for Job Preparation

Algebra Solving Hints for Job Preparation

Algebra solving hints for Job Preparation

We have updated MCQs + theory of this chapter. Algebra MCQs are very important for government job tests. Mostly sukkur IBA includes 3,4 MCQs in every test of BPS05-15 in all tests. If you want to get the highest marks in competitive examinations learn Algebra well. Age problems are also solved with the help of algebra. So, before appearing the job tests of Sindh Commission, Federal Public Service Commission, NTS and IBA JObs, learn maths well.

For candidates of BPS05-15, SST BPS16, SPSC, NTS, IBA & Other Jobs.

Addition and Subtraction: When you have an equation with addition or subtraction, you can move a number from one side of the equal sign to the other side by changing its sign. For example:

X + 3 = 12 can be solved by moving 3 to the other side:
X = 12 - 3
X = 9

Multiplication and Division: When you have an equation with multiplication or division, you can move a number from one side of the equal sign to the other side by using the opposite operation. For example:

2 * X = 50 can be solved by moving 2 to the other side:
X = 50 / 2
X = 25

Part2> Multiplication in Algebra:

Inverse Operations: If a number is in the form of p/q, where p and q are numbers, you can move it to the other side of the equal sign by flipping its numerator and denominator. For example:

If 2% of a number is 500, what is its 100%, you can solve it as follows:
2% = 2/100
(2/100) * X = 500
X = 500 * (100/2)
X = 25000

Translating Word Problems: When translating word problems into mathematical expressions, consider the following tricks:

"Twice" or "two times" can be written as 2X.
"Of" indicates multiplication. For example, "2% of X is 500" can be written as (2/100) * X = 500.
"Elder" or "older" can be expressed as adding a certain value. For example, "Waheed is 2 years elder" can be written as X + 2.

"Product" means multiplication. For example, "The product of Ahmed and Yasir's ages" can be written as Ahmed's age * Yasir's age.
"Sum" indicates addition. For example, "The sum of Waheed and Yasir's ages" can be written as Waheed's age + Yasir's age.

"Result" refers to the expression after the equal sign. For example, "By multiplying a number with 2, the result is 50" can be written as 2 * X = 50.
Example:

Ahmed is two times older than Kareem, and the sum of their ages is 45. To find Ahmed's age:

Kareem's age = X
Ahmed is two times older = 2X
Sum of their ages = X + 2X = 45
I hope these hints help you solve algebraic problems more easily.
