Preposition is a word that shows relation or position of a noun or pronoun with other noun / pronoun.

Its easy to guess usage of preposition when we have picture of that object and when we know its actual position, unfortunately in Pakistan, testing services don't include pictures while giving Preposition MCQs, that some time becomes problem for government job Aspirants to choose the correct option.

Here are some hints that may be useful for marking appropriate option:

Difference between in and at: When actual position is not known we use 'at', Rida is at school, while 'in' is used where we tell about actual position of a person or object, 'Rida is in class five'.

Difference between along and across: moving to any direction of road, we use along, Ahmed moves along the road, when crossing road and going from one side to other, we use across, Ahmed looked left & right & moved across the road.

Difference between to and towards: To is used to go in one direction, iam going to Karachi. While towards is used when we change our direction, for example: after going to post office i turned towards my home.

Difference between in and into: Where something already exist, we use in, as: tea is in the cup, when something is in the position of movement, then we use into, she is putting tea into the cup.
