Here we will mention important points that are important for obtaining higher marks in computer related jobs conducted through different testing services, as per my experience of 40 tests, i will only cover possible terms from where few questions are expected.

What is font ?

Text that iam writing here is called fonts.

Font size: minimum & maximum text size or font size is 8-72 respectively.

Font Style: Calibri, Times New Roman or Arial are font Style. as everyone has unique hand writing, some write italic, some write flowery ABC (Gullan wari ABC), these all are called font style, officially Arial, Calibri or Times New Roman are official text styles.

Font effect: Bold, Italic, regular or underline are font effects.

Header and footerat the same time, when you want to print same text on head or foot of each page, we use header and footer from insert Tab.

Drop-Cap: Increasing size of first letter in paragraph is Drop-Cap.

May be you have noticed this in the Dawn or the Express News.

Example: Taliban enters kandhar.

Hyperlink: Adding any link into the documents is called hyperlink, if iam typing khaliqgtk.blogspot.com in MS-WORD, it will take this link as a text, but when i am going through hyperlink option, and adding this link khaliqgtk.blogspot.com, it will then take it as a link and will be accessible through document.

Subscript: Subscript is text written at the bottom of any letter, Example is the formula of water (H2O). 2 here will be lower than H&O.

Superscript is opposite to subscript, Superscript is called power in maths, when any letter or digit is raised above other letters.

Short key: In the MS-WORD section, memorize some short-keys that make our work easier and faster, goto in the edit Tab & then select copy option takes too much time, while pressing only 2 keys together ctrl+C does the same work.

Ctrl+V Paste

Ctrl+P Print

Ctrl+K add link in document

Ctrl+ S Save

Ctrl+shift+= Make any letter superscript

Ctrl+= make any letter subscript

F7 Spell check in documents

Ctrl + B Bold

Ctrl+I Italic the text

Ctrl + H = Find & Replace

Page Margin: For binding purposes of any Book that we print through MS WORD, we leave some blank spaces from top, bottom, left or right of any page in page setup settings. remember their are only 4 page margins (top, bottom, left or right) that means we can leave few centimeters blank for binding purposes from these four sides of our page before printing.

Alignment: Many people think that alignment and margin is same, which is very wrong, alignment is position of text that we set in our document, when i write the Heading of any topic, i set its alignment (position) at center, we can say that center is an alignment not a margin. (alignment of Goto Home at the bottom of this post is center as well).
