Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) Combined Competitive Examination 2024: Screening Test Overview

Syllabus Breakdown:

1. General English (20% weightage):

Vocabulary, grammar, idioms, and phrases.

Synonyms and antonyms.

Fill in the blanks, prepositions, and analogies.

Comprehension passages.

2. General Knowledge and General Abilities (80% weightage):

Pakistan Affairs: Knowledge about Pakistan.

Current Affairs: Updates on recent events.

Everyday Science: Basic scientific concepts.

World Geography: Includes celestial bodies and geography.

Basic Arithmetic and Algebra (SSC Level): Problem-solving skills.

Digital Literacy: Computer basics, components, and operating systems.

Islamic Studies/Religious Studies: Islamic knowledge or comparative study of religions for minority candidates.

Screening Test Details:

1. Questions and Marks:

200 multiple-choice questions.

Each question carries 1 mark.

No negative marking.

2. Test Duration:

200 minutes (3 hours and 20 minutes).

3. Passing Criteria:

Minimum 33% marks (66 out of 200) required to pass.

4. Technology Used:

The test will use Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) or computer-based methods.
